Founder/Executive Director and Clinical Supervisor
As a BCBA and the owner of Stepping Stone ABA, which I founded in 2021, I am passionate about helping children and young adults with autism grow in meaningful ways through compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based care. My goal is to create a practice where families feel supported, children feel understood, and staff are equipped to provide high-quality services with both skill and heart. I believe strong outcomes come from strong relationships, thoughtful collaboration, and treatment tailored to each child’s unique needs.
My background in special needs support began years before opening my practice. I earned my Master’s degree in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from Texas A&M University, after completing my BCaBA coursework through the Florida Institute of Technology. Before becoming a BCBA in 2014, I worked as a Behavior Technician and later as a BCaBA, gaining hands-on experience supporting children with autism and their families across different settings.
In addition to my ABA training, I hold a degree in Special Psychopedagogy and Social Assistance from the University of Bucharest in Romania, along with a Christian Counseling Certificate from the Barnabas Counselling Training Consortium. My experience also includes working as a special needs therapist in Romania and serving for many years as a Sunday School teacher. Together, these experiences have shaped my belief that every child has value, potential, and the ability to make meaningful progress.
My life motto is inspired by Philippians 2:3-4: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
I also cherish the quote by Albert Einstein: “Play is the highest form of research.”
In my personal time, I enjoy painting and gardening, which allow me to express creativity and connect with nature.

Megan Moon BCBA LBA
Director of Clinical Operations and Clinical Supervisor
I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) in 2009, a Master’s degree in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Grand Canyon University in 2016, and Master’s certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from University of Cincinnati in 2017.
I began teaching 8th grade in January 2010 with Temple ISD, and finished my teaching career in 2018 with Belton ISD where I taught a variety of subjects and grades 4-8. I spent a year as behavior specialist for BISD before switching to “clinic life” in June 2019. I currently am a supervising BCBA at Stepping Stone ABA as well as the contracting BCBA for Academy ISD. In addition to my love for helping kids and their families function better together, I have a passion for helping bridge the gap between the education system and the world of ABA. I firmly believe the best way to support the growth and generalization of skills is when all of the “professionals” in a child’s life are able to work collaboratively.
When I’m not at work, I’m at home with my husband and our two kiddos, Brantley (3rd Grade) and Bristol (Kindergarten). Our goal is to find as many ways to make memories as a family, and one of our favorite activities is camping (more so glamping…). If I happen to come up with a few minutes of “me time” I love to enjoy a book and hope I can make it through a cup of coffee without reheating it 5 times.
“Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.” – Maya Angelou

I’m Candace — a wife, mom of three, student, and passionate advocate for children and families. After over a decade as a stay-at-home mom, I returned to the workforce with a strong desire to support families—shaped by my own experiences navigating education and healthcare systems.
I believe parents are their child’s greatest advocates and aim to create a warm, organized, and supportive environment for every family we serve.
Outside of work, I’m a crafter and small business owner. I’m also pursuing my degree while juggling my kids’ extracurricular activities. Life is full, but I’m passionate about helping others, staying organized, and always growing.

Meet Bristol Moon (Megan's Moon daughter), our Peer Modeling Volunteer and the youngest therapist in training :)
She loves helping her mommy and bringing smiles to our clients every day. With her loving heart, gentle nature, and amazing ability to notice when someone needs a little extra care, she reminds us what compassion truly looks like.
From sharing toys to showing friends how to take turns, she leads by example, proving that empathy and teamwork can start at any age.
From her: " I started in PreK at Rogers ISD and became more creative, coloring, making things, and finding lots of friends, but one of my favorite things to do is come to work with my mom. I just recently started homeschool and love spending time I’m not working on my school work playing with the kids at the clinic. I love being silly and I love helping others. I love doing gymnastics, cartwheeling everywhere I go, and hanging upside down. Mom calls me the clinic guinea pig for training staff or problem solving - I’m the Behavior Tech in Training."
